Wodonga Wire is an independent civic-information site about Wodonga.

It brings together information published by Wodonga Council and other public bodies so it is easier to find, understand and verify.

Wodonga Wire is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Wodonga Council.

What it does

Public information about Wodonga is spread across meeting papers, reports, datasets, project pages, maps and other systems.

Wodonga Wire organises that information, connects related records where the evidence supports it, and links back to the original sources.

How it works

Published information remains tied to its source.

Wodonga Wire does not use paid or paywalled sources. The information it draws on is already publicly available, and wherever possible it links directly to the original source so readers can find, inspect, download and work with the same material themselves.

Some information is reported directly from public records. Some is calculated, compared or connected by Wodonga Wire. Where that distinction matters, it is shown on the page.

Uncertainty and conflicting records are preserved rather than silently resolved.

The public sources it draws on are listed by publisher on Sources, with links to read each one directly.

Limits

Wodonga Wire can only show information that has been published, collected and interpreted with enough confidence to use.

Coverage varies by source and time period. Qualifications that apply to a page are shown with that information, and the known limits of each source are noted on Sources.

Missing information does not by itself establish that anything has been withheld or done improperly.

Corrections

Wodonga Wire will make mistakes.

Material errors are corrected openly rather than silently rewritten. Where a correction changes the meaning of something previously published, the correction and its date remain part of the public record.
